A Child’s Innocence

While at the 9/11 Memorial in New York in July 2013, I couldn’t help but notice this young girl walking along the reflecting pool and running her hand across all the etched names. Since she was obviously younger than 12 years old, it made me wonder what her thoughts were about the memorial park, how very different they must be from mine and how much I envied her innocence in that moment.
